Talus Backseat Organizer Giveaway

>> Tuesday, January 27, 2009

OK, how many of you are ashamed of your backseat? Go ahead, raise your hands high, no one can see you.

I'm right there with you. Well, I was until my husband totaled our SUV a couple weeks ago. That was my daily vehicle; the one the girls and I drove across town twice a day for school, the one we took to the mall, the one we did all our traveling in. So it was really no surprise to me (though it may have been to Doug) when we emptied it of

  • at least a dozen Happy Meal toys
  • a bag of washable markers
  • 3 coloring books and a pad of paper
  • 2 sets of kids headsets for the DVD player
  • 3 pairs of girls sunglasses
  • about a dozen books
  • "lost" tubes of chapstick
  • and assorted pieces of plastic jewelry
Ah, I can see you all nodding... You know exactly what I'm talking about. So you're going to be very excited to hear that Family Travel Gear is letting me give away a Talus XL Backseat Organizer! Look at this!

It's huge! Want to know more?
# Kids Car Organizer XL is a Parenting Mom-Tested pick
# Tall enough for kids in boosters
# Sturdy enough to draw or play on
# Identical pockets on each side to prevent squabbles
# Padded sides keep contents insulated
# Top has flip up sides to keep crayons and food from sliding off
# 4 Adjustable dividers lets kids organize & separate their gear
# 600 denier packcloth stands up to kids' rugged use
# Carry strap provides hands free portability to and from the car
# Buckles to seat belt to keep it secure

I absolutely love that it buckles to a seat belt! The top makes a great table and the sides are identical to prevent the classic "so and so has" argument. The Talus XL Backseat Organizer sells for $39.99 at Family Travel Gear, the place I buy our travel items.

The Kids Car Organizer XL would work great for us. It would put drinks and books within reach for my girls and be great on roadtrips!

I'd like the kids' organizer for myself. Plenty of room in there for all of the stuff I insist on carrying in the car: Kleenex, extra sweater, water bottle, hand sanitizer, travel mug...

the "HighRoad" "ClearAway" Car Organizer XL - HR-EO2-103 would work cuz we have art supplies and books everywhere lol

Kid stuff definitely clutters my backseat! Sippy cups, random Goldfish, small toys, you name it!

Anonymous January 27, 2009 at 5:24 PM

What do we NOT have cluttering our minivan?! We have kids' toys, books, videos, etc. of all types in our minivan - along with coats, hats, and sunglasses. (Our 2 year old daughter is a sunglasses fanatic!)

This car organizer would be best, but the car entertainer organizer would be nice too.

Thanks for the chance to win a great product!

This has got to be the greatest thing ever invented! I have seen other organizers, but this is the only one that I've seen that clips to a seatbelt and helps keep things cold! I am sold! What is in my backseat? let's see, the last time I cleaned out my car, we found about 8 pairs of shoes, all sorts of snacks, bowls, toys galore, jackets, hats, receipts, stickers..... yeah, I could keep going... this would be such a life-saver! Thanks for the giveaway!

The kids car organizer is my favorite. We have random baby toys that she throws out of her seat, a bunch of stuff for my husband who is a Scoutmaster, plus random work binders and mail and two working ice scrapers and one unusable one. Wow, could we use an organizer.

techyone January 27, 2009 at 5:53 PM

Kids car organizer - I like how it sits in the seat and can hold everything, toys, snacks, wipes. We would have a large assortment of everything in it even trash so I could just carry the whole thing in to empty out.

Hélène January 27, 2009 at 5:58 PM

Books and a blanket are cluttering mine. The Kids car organizer would work best, I think.

Gina January 27, 2009 at 6:17 PM

I so need the kid backseat organizer! My car is cluttered with the above mentioned McDonald's toys, extra diapers, wipes, bibs, headphones, DVDs, extra napkins, etc.

Thanks!!

Beth January 27, 2009 at 7:09 PM

Definitely the XL organizer, the entertainment is neat - but then where would we hang the dvd player...kids aren't keeping the headphones on! Our backseat has lots of toys, books, extra outfits, some stuff to return to Target, cheerios and french fries that went "oops" and many, many other things too!

Homemaker January 27, 2009 at 7:37 PM

What is cluttering my backseat at the moment is books, books, and more books...we go for long rides and my son loves his books. I think the "Car entertainment organizer" will also hold my son's books...Otherwise if I were to purchase something it would be what you are giving away right now..the Kids Car Organizer XL which will fit his books, plus juice, plus snacks, plus toys, doodle pad and everything else he wants to bring along which is most of his toys...my car has turned into a mobile toy box within the last year.

My backseat is currently cluttered with a sweater, jacket & a pair tennis shoes. I never know when I;m going to walk around alot so I like to keep an extra pair of shoes in my car.

Besides the "Talus Backseat Organizer", I like the "car entertainment organizer" as well.

I can't believe how perfect this is. My New Year's Resolution is to keep my mini van organized!!!!!!!!!!!! What clutters my backseat? Well, jackets, diaper bag, dolls, kleenex box, books, shoes, socks, blankies, clippies, "treasures" that the kids collect, sippie cups and whatever else the kids can get into the car and there is only two of them. I really think that the XL Car organizer would suit me best!
Oh boy I hope I win this!

The Kids Car Organizer XL would be perfect!

rubynreba January 27, 2009 at 8:36 PM

The XL backseat organizer would work great for all the "junk" that we accumulate in the car! I also like the CD visor organizer.

the kids car organizer would help so much with the toys

First, I'm so sorry that your SUV was totaled. Hopefully your husband is well. We just went through that almost a year ago. We know the yuck that goes with. In fact, my post tomorrow is on car boosters and our car accident. Come back buy and give it a read.

When the accident happened, my car was a true mamamobile. I would have very much benefited from the Kid Car Organizer XL or any other size! I was embarrassed when the insurance company told us that our car was in excellent condition, except for the inside! Ugh!

Thank you so much!

Anonymous January 27, 2009 at 9:26 PM

Well, since Zoe is only one and still facing backwards (and may until she is 2...LOL!!) there is not a mess in the back. My Cd's case is back there, which is unhandy. So I guess the Cd visor organizer would work for now. BUT I know the XL organizer will be needed in the future.

I love the High Road Clear Away car organizer too! It's awesome.

The backseat of my truck is jam packed with 2 carseats, books, kleenex, stray pieces of food, toys, dirt, a portable DVD player, and countless other items. I hate it. It's always messy no matter what I do.

I would love to win the Kids Car Organizer XL. It would put my back seat in order once and for all!

Thanks so much.

nape January 27, 2009 at 11:29 PM

I did look them over, especially Talus's HighRoad "ClearAway" Car Organizer. Still, the Kids Car Organizer XL would work best for the items cluttering my back seat. I have six or seven shopping tote bags back there, a blanket (the temperature's been in single-digits and below lately), whatever travel coffee mug I just finished using, maps of Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri, and my ice & snow scraper.

At least that's the clutter I'll ADMIT to.

Great giveaway. Thanks!

My backseat is fairly clean at the moment. It has a coat, jacket, blanket, ice scraper, kleenex, crate with misc. car care stuff in it, mini tool kit, grocery totes and whatever else I've thrown back there. It'd be nice to have some of that in a designated spot that doesn't move. So I think the Talus XL Backseat Organizer would be great for me.

The Kids Car Organizer XL work best, as would the Car Entertainment organizer.

I am embarrassed to say what is in my backseat - hats, gloves, all kinds of snacks that have fallen (crackers, pretzels etc), crayons, toys, pacifiers... do I need to go on? Needless to say my car needs and good cleaning and some organizational help. I'd love to win

Cindy B.of Montana January 28, 2009 at 12:12 AM

I have my movie blanket, water bottles, gloves, hats, usually a book(s)or magazine, and often photo gear in the back seat. I'd really like the Kids Organizer XL cause I could use it when Legend is with us, too!

Well, we are a minivan family so I'm not even sure what's in the WAY back seat. I know books and toys, and trash and even some shoes and socks. I hate to say it but we would really need the Kids Car Organizer XL. Although the "HighRoad" "ClearAway" Car Organizer XL might be nice to put behind my seat...hmmm

I like the Snack and Play Travel Tray we have shoes, extra socks, and jackets all over our car.

The kids car organizer would be most helpful. We have a lot of books and a few toys filling our van.

Unknown January 28, 2009 at 6:34 AM

The high road organizer would be apt for our car as my soon to be 3 year old is book crazy and long trips mean books n more books!!

Toys and books are cluttering the back seat. Kids Car Organizer XL would be perfect to help with that.

bettycd January 28, 2009 at 1:29 PM

The kids XL organizer looks exactly what I need. I have the hand wipes, tissue box, snow scraper, extra napkins and reuseable bags. The idea of reusing shopping bags means they must be available in the car whenever you stop at a store for both quick and big shopping stops. Few of them fold up neatly which means they are pretty much everywhere from trunk area right up to on/under front passenger seat.

Unknown January 28, 2009 at 1:30 PM

Definately the car orgainizer XL would be perfect - though the Yakpak would probably get as much use from my carsick prone kiddoes.

The Kids Car Organizer would organize it best. In our backseat: A few books, two stuffed animals, a happy meal toy, a pair of sunglasses...and it's pretty clean right now.

Thanks for hosting this!

I would love to win. Currently we have an extra pair of clothes for my 3 year old (just got potty trained) and some blankets and flashlights and such. But in the spring when sports begin watch out..My back is full of drinks, snacks and equipment. I like the kids car organizer XL

I could use the "Car entertainment organizer" because right now in my back seat is a Walkman CD Player, A set of Ear Buds, 4 CD's ,A Book, A folded up Paper Football, A Box of Life Savers Candy. My back seat is always filled with toys and this would help keep it organized and tidy. I'm forever telling the kids to go clean out my back seat. I hate it when my car is a mess. Thanks for Sharing.

The kids car organizer would be perfect! I have diapers, wipes, books, DVDs floating around my car. This would really clean everything up!

JoyFilled January 28, 2009 at 5:43 PM

What is cluttering up my car? Hmmm...toys, toys, and more toys...probably a shoe here or there. A coat, a blanket or two, a cart cover...a random straw that was used to entertain a little one for a while, a sucker wrapper, a stick (I mean, a "sword"!!), and last but no least, the bag that once contained it all in an effort to keep the car nice and organized. Ha!! THe Kids Car Organizer XL would make a world of a difference in our car!!

My first choice would be the XL organizer you're giving away, simply because it's biggest! But the High Road Clear Away organizer would be a close 2nd. Ok, anything would be an improvement over our current system - stuff all over the floor of our minivan, sliding around and disappearing under seats! Ug.

Typical clutter includes bendy straws (I thought I'd be smart and put a bag of them in the van for those times when the drive-thru forgets them, ha), Mp3 player and headphones, charger cords for cellphone, Mp3, DS, portable DVD, asst DVDs (also never staying in wallet like they're *supposed* to), small toys and books (always end up getting stepped on and wet/muddy...whoops!), and ketchup packets (also get stepped on. yuck).

Yikers! hahaha

The Kids backseat organizer would work for me the best, mainly for the water bottles that seem to grow from 1 to 10. Instead of going to the car to get the one we forgot to take into the house, we just get another one. Pretty soon, we have them all over the car. It would also hold reading material. Thanks for the giveaway!

kids meal toys every time we go out to get fast food they want a kids meal but they alway's leave the toy in the car. I think the XL backseat organizer would really help keep my back seat organized.

So I guess i'm not the only one with a terrible backseat. Lets see the last time I cleand out the back there were, coloring books, my sons hackey sack socker ball toy, a few cd's, my Daughter's hairbrush, a missing baby bottle that had rolled under the seat, and some other misc. toys. The XL backseat organizer is exactly what we need back there.

what's cluttering my car? um... my daughter's blanket, some toys of course, a few binkies, a leftover french fry or two, my books for choir... there's plenty. but i'm taking her on a long road trip in a couple of months and my 2 year old is going to be needing some extra fun. i would get her the Snack and Play Travel Tray.

Anonymous January 29, 2009 at 10:53 AM

The Kids' Car Organizer XL would work great for me... I have a grocery cart cover, a blanket, and a hat in my back seat right now... but we always have toys and a really full diaper bag that go back and forth from the car to house. Having an organizer would be great so that I could keep more stuff in the car instead of constantly toting stuff back and forth.

michelle January 30, 2009 at 9:01 AM

When we travel, the kid's backseat is usually cluttered with piles of books and small toys. I usually use a Rubbermaid tote and have them try to keep their stuff in there, but this would be so much better, having outer pockets and all for things like snacks or whatever. We don't have a lot of leg room for a hanging organizer, so I would likely say the Kids Car Organizer XL would best suit our needs.

What's in the backseat? old fries, toddler toys, books, and socks. It's cold so I am letting it pile up (until spring???)

Sandra January 30, 2009 at 5:28 PM

The Kids Car Organizer XL would work perfectly to organize the miscellaneous toys, mits, snack and wipes that float around the back seat of my Jeep. I already have a CD organizer but need something like this put an end to the remaining chaos...especially with another baby on the way!

Right now my back seat is empty - but that's only because I just cleaned it out on Monday! Usually you can find toys, clothes, work stuff, kid stuff, food - you name it it's probably there. I've been looking at something like the Organizer XL for a while now, but I've never seen one that hooks into the seat belt. What a great idea.
